The body is clipped out from this long tailed tit I photographed at a nearby nature reserve, they are such a cute little bird I thought it would make for a good character for a simple automata project.

The box itself is a very simple construction idea from Godwin at Dazzling Discoveries, thanks Godwin! It was a pleasure to meet you!
I had originally made a plain box for the bird to stand on but decided to try and make it look like a fence post instead. I took photos of a couple of logs from the stove on my boat and trimmed them down to size.
