Paper Ruler to the Rescue

Fri, 8 Nov 2013

I put together this paper mouse model whilst #truelove was watching 'Strictly' on the telly. I'm pleased with how its come out so my next step is to convert it to the computer. Measuring up curved parts is tricky with a traditional ruler. Time to print out a paper ruler!

You've seen this project right? The paper ruler is a free download from here. Print it out onto paper, make sure that you set the print size to 100% then simply cut out the appropriate paper ruler for your needs.

The paper rulers are great for measuring curved surfaces or for getting into the inside of awkward places, there is even a paper protractor for measuring angles.

Perfect. Lets get this mouse measured up!

I could not download the ruler but if my guess is right this will be the tiniest paper model in Rob's collection – perhaps 2.5" to 3" long. I will verify my claim when I will be able to download both the projects!

        im thinking about like

im thinking about like attaching the mouse to the  scotch yoke mechanism but lay it down so it moves the mouse horizontally like thru a mouse hole and maybe also have the ginger cat model attached to a paper strap so as the mouse moves forward the cat will rise up but the mouse will stop just before it gets to the cat.
