Love Boat Almost Done

Fri, 7 Feb 2014

Here’s the Love Boat complete apart some colour and pattern which I’ll be adding to the file. There will also be a small chocolate box to sit in the stern of the boat which I’ve not shown here.

My apologies for the quality of the animation. I’d flipped the camera onto manual focus and didn’t notice that the pictures were out of focus on the viewscreen. By the time I noticed all the lights were packed away so I am afraid you’re stuck with this one. You can blame #Truelove for not letting me leave the studio lights out around the dining room table at all times 🙂

This has again become a mechanically interesting model. The movement of the body and the oars look realistic. Gets the figure some volume?

It seems the Ewe Boat from RI. The difference is the moving of the head/neck that Ewe Boat makes. It also is lower than that one. I agree with Michael about the volume; certainly Rob will increase the volume of the body in order to give it a nice appeal. Although it is a hard work, I hope Rob finishes it soon. It looks so nice.

        Hello Hugo and Michael,

        Hello Hugo and Michael,

Yes, volume may bring in a nice appeal but it may also compromise the apparent simplicity that Rob is so superb at maintaining in his art projects. I have a feeling that Rob will come up with a balance that will satisfy and make all of us happy.
