I’ve been looking back on a previous project with an eye on improving the design. My aim is to make the character more poseable and to that end I’ve had a go at an improved arm.

Currently the arm fits in the shoulder with a rotating joint. First step, I tried making an elbow joint.

The result certain adds flexibility but is limited by the fact that the arm still only moves forwards and back. I’ll need to think further on this. I’m pretty sure I’m going to need some sort of two axis at the shoulder. It is going to be tricky to get the right balance between ease of making and flexibility. Back to the drawing board.
