Mesh Gear 12:32 Essential Mechanism to Download and Make

This Mesh Gear Essential Mechanism can be built in two forms.  By convention, winder handles are turned clockwise. In this model, the vertical shaft can be made to turn clockwise or anticlockwise depending on how it is assembled. Build it as an exercise in pure mechanism or as the starting point for another project.

Slot Together Involute Gear to Download and Make

This easy to make gear uses thirteen tooth and a twenty three tooth gear. The gears themselves are designed using the excellent Gear Generator software from woodgears.ca then further edited by me in Adobe Illustrator. Download and make them on your laser-cutter from 1400 micron card!
