There is an astonishing amount of powerful software out there to help with drawing and designing. I use Illustrator and Photoshop on a daily basis for designing models and processing photographs, I use them so much that I pretty much know them inside out. 3d software, not so much. My latest foray into 3d software has been with Rhino 3d. I’d made a bit of progress with it a while back but haven’t used it for a couple of weeks. Rather than forgetting what I had learned and having to start again, I decided to spend a little time stretching my Rhino muscles. To this end, I’ve been modelling one of the parts from my latest laser-cut project.

I’m sharing some of the pictures below – I hope you enjoy them.
