Platonic Reindeer Late Stage Prototype

Tue, 18 Dec 2012

Part of my on-going project to make a festive decoration from each of the platonic solids, I've put together a reindeer based on a cube, presented here.

Looking at it, it occurred to me that the body looked just like a present…

…and so, with a few modification, the cubical reindeer morphed into the reindeer parcel bursting out from his wrapping paper.

I've done the photography so hopefully the finished project will be available to download in the next day or two.

Bah humbug.

Made the pudding and the robin, so this will complete a merry trio of Christmas creations. Really like your (inspired) idea of making a present out of the reindeer body.

It's the quirky nature of the models and the fun of making the ordinary appear extra-ordinary (surreal) which adds to the delight or their construction.

    Happy Christmas, by the way.

And to you too! Thanks Steven- RI
