When I’m designing the gears for use in paper models like this one, I use the Gear Template Generator from woodgears.ca It is a really useful tool!

I came across this new Gear Generator tool on Dug North‘s site. It is a similar idea but adds loads of extra features including the ability to design more complex gear trains. Check it out!
