damh – ready for assembly

Fri, 2 Oct 2009

Dog Ate My Homework bits ready to assemble. I'll be taking photographs of the assembly as I go. The evenings are drawing in now, in the summer months I take photographs by natural light in the conservatory. In the winter, I crack out the studio lights and set them up in the dining room/studio. This time of year is a sort of half way house. I'll wait till the morning and do it then.

    Exciting! Your work is always

Exciting! Your work is always so great and prolific, Rob. What do you think about making a Rob Ives Subscription Club of an affordable amount for most everyone, say $25/yr., that will give 3-4 model patterns to print out and put together over the course of the year. Like a global micro sponsorship. The numbers *may* crunch out in your favor by far.

My thought is that that way we’d get to contribute hard money to you, as would be my preference, rather than getting freebees and never being able to justify buying a model willy nilly, especially when some are given away.

Interesting idea Shelley – anyone else got an opinion on this?

Shelly, would it be okay if I put your quote on the forum to see what people think?

        Ab-so-tively! It’s a new

Ab-so-tively! It’s a new online economy idea culled out of the writings of people I admire in the field of new marketing; Seth Godin, Hugh Macloed, Kevin Kelly. It seems tailor made for you specifically because your work is always sought after and rewarding to use. I know for myself, I’d much rather be part of your deserved lucrative income than to get freebees or to buy myself automata treats. I like the notion of deliberately contributing to you as an artist and being a part of that as a greater purpose. It’s Rob Ives as a symbol of things I value and want to support. Plus…Guilt Free Models!
