I’m working on a new bellows and pipe design for a bird song model. The bellows are based on the design seen in the old Victorian clockwork bird boxes. Compress the bellows and the air comes out through a hole in the side into the pipe making a whistling sound.

Having established that this works my next step is to design a slide for the pipe so that I can change the pitch to make a more realistic bird song.

The net for the bellows is fairly simple and it is certainly much easier to make than other bellows I have made before. Simple but effective.
