Crank Bellows: Paper Project.

Turn the handle on the Crank Bellows to hear the two tone alternate tweeting of the twin bellows powered by the central crank.

Crank Box: Download and Make

Turn the handle on the crank box and the pad on the top of the box moves smoothly back and forth. You can use this model as a hands-on experiment with simple mechanisms or as the starting point for your own paper automata models.

Super Simple Character for the Crank Box

A really simple character to download and cut out. Fold the housemaid model and glue her to the top of the Crank Box model as a demonstartion of the kind of automata that can use that mechanism.
