A new and interesting paper mechanism to download and make. Pull the tab and the drive wheel advances hald a turn at a time with a satisfying "Tick – Tock!" Because the mechanism turns the wheel half a turn it makes the mechanism perfect for automata with two states, Up/down, in/out, 1/0, left/right. Check out the website to see the YouTube video.

While we are talking about ratchets, don't for get the three toothed ratchet project. Pull the tab and the ratchet advances by one tooth. Three pulls and the wheel turns a full circle. An interesting mechanism to download and make or as a starting point for your own projects.
