Problem: Paper character- has a vertical tube for the neck and a horizontal tube for the shoulders. How do I intersect the tubes? The Neck tube has at least two layers of card making it difficult to cut with a scalpel and also makes marking up for others to build difficult.

Possible solution: I've fitted the shoulder tube into the body, gluing it to the two 'shoulder straps'.

(Ooo, colour!) The arms then fit, one to each end. I'll probably be cutting down the circular ends a little in the next draft.

Then rather than circular holes I've cut a U shaped channel each side of the neck which now slides neatly into place.

It also has the advantage that I can take the head off and transfer it between prototypes, saves me making the same thing over and over 🙂
