So, I've been working on the Octopus model today, I've also had to catch up on emails and website maintenance so I've I've only done a little, however, the progress made has been instructive so I thought I'd share…

I've changed the way the legs are attached to the body so that they look more natural. Having looked at octopus pictures I've decided to add a curved fillet between each leg. At times like these it is tricky to get a full length ruler into place to take measurements so I reached for my trusty ruler.pdf file. Here I have a collection of paper rulers of various sizes that I can print out and use.

I add rulers as and when I need them. I've made the file available at the end of this blog post so you can download and use it. It is in millimeters, if you use the archaic imperial system you're on your own I'm afraid.

When I'm prototyping I print out a page of rulers, cut out the ones that I need and use them to measure the pieces so that I can make the appropriate changes. Good eh!?
