Metasequoia editing problems...
Hi all!
For some reasons (???), in Metasequoia I am not longer able to move, scale, and rotate objects for less than 1 unit ( I mean, for example, rotate for 0.5 degrees, or move for 0.75).
Can anybody help me?

Thanks a lot,
PINO

Metasequoia editing problems...

Dear Paperpino,

I work with version R2.4 with the same problem. In this case I select the object and scale it by factor 10 (e.g). Then i do my my changes in 1 unit steps and after that I scale it down by the factor 0.1.

Example:  - a cube with 10 units wide, upper left corner in front has the ABSOLUTE x-coordinate 5.0

              - the whole cube was scaled by factor 10, the named corner were moved in x-direction by 1 unit

              - the whole cube was scaled by factor 0.1, the named corner has now the

                ABSOLUTE x-coordinate 4.9

Although, I never tried rotation in this way.

Greetings

Thanks Dramok. What you

Thanks Dramok.

What you suggest could be valid for scaling and moving, though cumbersome...

For rotating, it cannot work, I think.

Thanks again,

PINO

Dear paperpino,

yes, rotating will not work in this case, I suppose.

If you select the object and choose "Rot" in the Command Panel,

after that choose the axis you want to rotate with (here the red x-axis) and

checkmark the Handle option.

Now you take your cursor to the red axis bow (e.g.) and rotate manual.

But there's also a limit of 0.5 degrees to rotate.

Hi Dramok. what I realized

Hi Dramok.

what I realized that, rotating manually, it is possible to rotate for angles of the order of 0.1°, but it is extremely difficult to obtain the exact angle you want.

I wrote to the software creator, in Japan. Hope to see an answer...

Ciao,

PINO
