Dear Bredaghgael,
I have built this model before, it's one of the easiest model from Rob to build....Practically, its mechanisms is a cam, a simple one, in shape of snail. It rotates smoothly then there's an abrupt fall, that makes the character moving abruptly. For more details about this mechanism consult the section mechanism and moving in this homepage. One good point to show to the pupils is about cam, axle, box, alternating moving and introduce some simple mechanical terms. It is a good idea to build one before you introduce it to the class. If this feedback is Ok, go on, but if you still have doubts or would like to comment anything, please be free. I guess here is the right place to ask for helping. Kind regards,
Hugo.
