Three videos for you to enjoy on YouTube. Firstly, from the hand of Michael42er, we have his splendid version of the recent squeeze box project featuring two sizes of squeeze box. Nice work Michael!.

Secondly, I also produced a video of the squeeze box in action. I added it to the original post a couple of days after it was originally posted so incase you missed it...

And finally, I splashed out on a new book from Amazon. Papercraft by Robert Klanten is full of all sorts of inspirational work by many different artists. Here's a quick preview. If you are interested you can buy yourself a copy here and simultaneously earn me a modest commission :-)

The paper butterfly has always been one of my favourites. I originally made it for #Truelove for Valentine's day, she still has the original on her dressing table :-)

I was delighted, then, to see that Michael42er has made a YouTube video of his Butterfly model out in its natural environment! Nice work Michael!

Aussiemarkvideos has a butterfly video here as well. Thanks Mark!

In the previous blog post Michael42er used a flexible drive shaft to link models together. Inspired by his work I have put together a file of parts for you to try making your own flexible drive shafts. If you are a member you can download the parts file at the link.

Most of the project on this site use either an 8mm or a 10mm dirve shaft. I've put together parts for both. The ones in the illustrations below are for 8mm drive shafts.

Print out the sheet onto a sheet of thin card. (230 micron/67lb) Score along the dotted lines then carefully cut out the parts.

Make up a tube and add a washer around a third of the way down its length.

Plait the two card strips back and forth.

Once the spring part is made, add a blob of glue in the arrowed areas to stop it unravelling.

Glue one end of the zig zag spring to the shaft. Make up the shorter shaft and glue it to the other end.

Repeat the process with a second spring and shaft. Having a double joint like this lets you join together  two models with drive shafts at different heights.

Use the flexible shaft to join two model together!

As well as the 8mm shaft shown here and the 10mm shaft there is also a pair of tapered pieces to fold up into a spring so that you can make a joint which reduces in size from one to the other.

Here's how Michael42er did it!

Michael42er's latest video, this time featuring the flying cow and a small herd of nodding cows. I love how the handle on the flying cow sets the nodding cow a-nodding!

Michael42er has created another amazing YouTube video. This time he has modified the T.Rex Cam model adding another cam and creating a whole series of new movements. Check out the amazing video above.

Even more exciting, Michael has generously added his completed T.Rex model to the T.Rex Original give away. Specifically, Michael has said that he will send his made up model to the second new member drawn from the hat at the end of June. Visit the "Win a T.Rex Cam" page and add your name to the list. Thank you Michael!

Another fabulous stop motion animation by Michael42er. This terrifying scene of nature red in tooth and claw features the  Apatosaurus being hunted down by two T.Rexes. Nice one Michael! There are more still pictures here.
