Last stages of the Levers eBook. I had originally planned for the pages to go together as a book. Having got all the parts together I've decided that it works better with the three main pages separate. So the finished project will be a 25 page pdf which will build into three moving pictures, 1st, 2nd and 3rd order levers, an info sheet and a sleeve for the whole lot to fit into. I'm really pleased with the way the finished product is pulling together.

I'm putting the last touches to the file now, should be ready in a day or so.

I have printed a limited number of postcards featuring the Dog Ate My Homework model.  These are high quality postcards printed on gloss  card. If you'd like to order a signed, numbered hand-written postcard sent directly to your post box, check the page here.

Completed the art work for the second and third order lever pages today. Looks good though I say so myself!

I've printed out the parts and will be doing the assembly photographs in the morning. I'll then be able to complete the instructions. The final part wil be a couple of pages of extra information about levers and how they work within paper animations. Should be a nice little ebook!

I've had a fun time creating this little 3D scene featuring the Grrrobot model. I'll be bundling it with the model as well as making it available as a download to subscribers.

The picture is made up of four layers, each stuck to the front section of triangular tube. The overall effect is really quite effective.

There is a larger version of this picture on my flickr site. The download itself wil be ready in a day or two.

I've completed the colour version of the Grrrobot! model and the assembly photography. Next I'll be putting the instructions together to complete the model. New download coming up soon!

I've gone for a bright, lime green colour to contrast with the fearsome form of the robot.

I took loads of pictures of the completed model, both colour and mono. I'll be adding some to my Flickr site later on this evening.

Should be worth a visit.

Been adding detail to the Grrrobot model today. I needed a rivet effect across the bottom of the body. Previously I've added a dotted line with fairly large spacing and wide line.

I wanted a bit more depth. A 3D effect. I created a row of light green dots, 8pt diameter then a dark green set at 6pt and a white set at 2pt.

I completed the rivet effect by stacking them one on top of the other.

The final effect works quite nicely and seems to translate to print well.

Made a few changes to the model, including expanding the body a little to free movement a little. After which I've assembled the parts and worked out the numbers.

I've added the numbers to the parts file and am making a start of adding the colours. To complete the day I've had a fantastic meeting with my business advisor,  lots of interesting idea swirling though my head!
