A quick project for you, just in time for Valentine's day!

Members can download the project from the link above, thanks for signing up!

The project comes in both coloured and mono, print out the version best for you. The first three page should be printed onto thin card (230gsm / 230 micron) the final page has only two small parts on it which need to be printed onto standard 80 gsm printer paper. Score along the dotted and dashed lines and cut out the holes before carefully cutting out the pieces.

Fold the middle section of the pivot up and shown (left) and glue it together to make double thickness card.

Carefully cut along the grey line to make the tongue shown above right.

Glue the pivot to the back of the heart so that the point is touching the pointed end of the heart.

Glue the horizontal heart back across the top of the heart so that it just touches the top of the pivot piece.

Glue the vertical heart back so that it makes a tent shaped triangle up the length of the heart making the hole piece strong.

Glue the box top stiffener into place as shown above, vertical face towards the hole.

Assemble the pendulum as shown and glue the short end of the two section paper hinge into the centre of the middle vertical surface.

Glue the other end of the hinge tab to the box top stiffener. The pendulum should be free to rock back and forth.

Fold the push rod in half and glue it together to make double thickness card.

Glue the push rod to the second paper hinge piece between the two creases.

Glue the push rod hinge to the end of the pendulum.

Push the pivot into the hole in the front of the box. Glue the other end of the push rod to the heart.

Glue on the box sides.

Wrap the coin holder round two coins and glue up. I used UK 2p pieces (7grams each 25mm in diameter) Glue the coin pack to the bottom of the pendulum so that the centre of the coins is lined up with the hinge.

Fold down and glue together the two box sides.

Fold up the box inner as shown

Slide the box inner into place so that the long tabs touch the underside of the box top.

Assemble the inner box.

Fill with chocolate treats!

Close the box by interlocking the two tabs.

Slide the two box parts together and present to your one true love!
