Valentine's Day - Oh no!

Oh no! Valentine's day coming up fast! I forgot all about it!

Any ideas for something quick anyone?
If I don't get a model up in time, there is always the heart flower model or if you're after something a little more salacious there are the models on CardBawdy.com  (don't look if you are easily offended!)

Heart Flower

<edit>
-----------------------

I've made the Heart Flower available free to subscribers for the duration...
A Heart Flower by any other name would smell as sweet!

<Edit>Correction to the newsletter. Existing paid subscribers can upgrade to plus for £15 per YEAR, not per month as I put in th newsletter - oops! </edit>

------------------------

I'm just putting the finishing touches to Subscriber Plus. It should be ready by the time you read this. This is an upgrade to the standard subscriber package. For £25 per annum you get all the standard subscriber features, access to new models and exclusive downloads. On top of that you can download any of the models in the store - for free!

If you are a subscriber already you can upgrade to Subscriber Plus for only £15!

I hope you enjoy this new feature of the website!

Check out the subscriber page for more details.

Upcoming project

Been working on a new project - can't really say much more about it than that. Just to say that I reckon it'll be a good 'un.

Oh yes, and I did some work on the front page of the website. I added some bits, removed some other bits and generally tied up some loose ends. I hope you like it!

Subscriber Downloads Page

Web work today. I've been working on a page with all the subscriber downloads on it. I still need to add a few more items to the database and write the code which lets subscribers download files but I reckon it is looking promising.

Dog Ate My Recorder - Revisited

image200:

I mentioned a while back that a website visitor had converted the Dog Ate My Homework model into a a recorder related equivalent. This morning the postman brought me a magazine "Blokfluitist" with an article about that very model!

The magazine was sent by the same person, Annette from the Netherlands. I'm afraid I haven't a clue what the article says but Annette assures me that it is all good.

Thanks Annette!

I've posted part four of the document describing the construction of the tortoise model. This parts covers the final stage of creating the model from adding colour to photographing the parts and writing the instructions.

The tortoise model is now ready for you to download. Exclusive to you, dear subscriber, the tortoise model uses a lever and slider to peep out of her shell. The model comes as a single file containing both fully coloured and mono parts - you choose which you print out.

Follow the fully illustrated instructions to make your own animated tortoise model.

Tortoise model. In colour!

I've completed the parts for the new tortoise model, assembled a model and taken instruction photographs. I'm now writing up the instructions to complete the model. Should be done later today.

What the Tortoise Taught Us

Nearly done the tortoise model! I've chosen a colour scheme, coloured the parts and finished laying out the pages, I've taken plenty of photos, I'll be completing the model and the article about its creation tomorrow.

I would have got more done but fatherly duties meant that I was helping first-born daughter write a school report on e-commerce, something I know a little bit about. Can you believe she chose to write about Amazon instead of robives.com?! Pah.

Designing a Tortoise - part 3

Part three of the ongoing story of the tortose model is now up and available for your delight. In this part I show how I go about finishing the layout on the computer and adding the numbering to the parts to help with construction.
